Banu Cengiz, a pharmacist from Turkey had the most interesting day of her life a few weeks ago. With her daily schedule at work, Cengiz still finds time to engage in her passion, loving animals. She is a strong dog lover and in everything she does, she shows that.
Cengiz always finds peace when she is around animals. She is all about rescuing animals from the street. Her beloved pet, she noted she got from the streets a few years ago. But with the pharmacy she operates, her love and strength in humanity go beyond that.
Outside of her pharmacy, she has a “cozy spot” which she opens for stray animals. Being unable to adopt other animals, she said this is to create an environment of love. They are fed in this little area she has as well as they can simply take some needed rest.
Though many are saying it is all for attention, she admits it is just her love for animals. Apparently, strays who visit the location must have “mentioned” it to other animals. This because since the short time it opened, there were countless amounts who visited.
Sensitivity When Hurt
Just recently, she noticed something a little odd with one of the dogs. The pup was not lying down nor eating but eagerly standing at the door. She had a little depressed look and was staring right at Cengiz.
Opening the door to the concerned-looking pup, Banu realized something had gone wrong. The poor pup had a cut on her paw and was bleeding. She must have been in pain and realized her “mom” would be the best person to help.

She took her inside and proceeded to provide the help she needed. The pharmacist cleaned up her with antiseptic and worked on stopping the bleeding. When this was done, she gave her some antibiotics and the dog’s response…calm as ever.
Animal Instinct Of Trust
Cengiz laughed for a while when she recalled the dog’s action afterward.
“She just laid down as if she was saying thank you and I trust you”, Cengiz said. In the pharmacy where the “aid” was done, the pup stayed and rested for a while. Cengiz ensure she was fed and well taken care of. By the end of the workday, the dog had gathered enough strength to move about freely.
However, Cengiz who had done so much for the pup wished she could still do more. The greatest regret was that she couldn’t take the dog home.
She is always busy ensuring they are cared for and sometimes try to find them forever homes. Banu noted she has been helping dogs for years in her own way. Her little rest “haven” is just to let the outside animals feel loved and appreciated. She does it because it is what was placed on her heart.
Whatever way you can let these stray animals feel loved like Banu, it is best to do it. Spread the story of love and humanity so others will feel the urge to help too.
